Real Wedding: Isaac and Isabel

Wedding couple in the field.

August 19, 2023

Nestled amidst the rolling hills and picturesque landscapes of Quarry Farm, Isabel and Isaac's wedding was nothing short of a fairytale come to life. From their heartfelt ceremony, traditional tea ceremony to the fun-filled dance floor, it was certainly a day filled with laughter and love.

Isabel and Isaac’s wedding was my first of the 2023 - 2024 season and I am so glad. Love stories have a way of captivating us, reminding us of the beauty that can be found in unexpected places. The tale of Isabel and Isaac is one such story—a modern romance that blossomed from the digital realm into something truly extraordinary. As they stood hand in hand, surrounded by friends and family, they embarked on the next chapter of their lives together. I could not be any more grateful that I get to witness not only their love but also their amazing family bonds and the spirit of community through their wedding.

We recently caught up over print delivery and Filipino feast and I got to know their favourite parts of the day and hear more about their married life. Have a read below to hear some of their tips for couples planning their wedding day

WHAT’S ‘MARRIAGE’ FOR THE TWO OF YOU?

ISABEL + ISAAC: Marriage for us is a lifelong commitment where we were put each other first and honour our vows to each other with Christ at the centre.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE PART OF THE DAY?

ISABEL + ISAAC: Our favourite part of the day was the reception when everyone was dancing! It felt amazing to have our loved ones partying with us, plus it felt like the pressure was over and we could relax and have fun.

WAS THERE ANYTHING YOU BOTH WISH YOU DID DIFFERENTLY?

ISABEL: We have differing opinions on this. We had a first look I kinda regret it because I felt like I would’ve loved for Isaac to see me for the first time walking down the aisle.

However, Isaac felt the opposite and actually highly recommends the first look.

ISAAC: I feel like it was a more intimate setting where we got to share a special moment together, it also took all the nerves and pressure off seeing her for the first time.

YOUR LAST PIECE OF ADVICE FOR COUPLES PLANNING THEIR WEDDING?

ISAAC: If we can do it all-over again I would definitely try to be more involved with the planning. I highly recommend guys to be more involved in the wedding planning and not just leave it up to their partners.
